Coach Mike Shanahan did not provide much in the way of updates on injured wide receiver Pierre Garçon and linebacker London Fletcher.

Garçon missed a fourth game – and second in a row – because of a foot injury. On Sunday, USA Today reported that Garçon, in fact, has a torn tendon in his foot and could miss the next two weeks. Shanahan said last week that Garçon's injury was an inflamed capsule underneath the second toe on his right foot.

Asked about the report, Shanahan said: “It’s the same thing. Same thing as it has been. No change.”

“I keep on saying that we’re going to evaluate him,” the coach added. “He wasn’t good enough to play, and if you’re not good enough to play, that means there’s a lot of pain in there.”

Garçon traveled with the team to East Rutherford on Sunday but did not work out on the field prior to the game with fellow injured players David Jones (Achilles’ tendon) and Brandon Meriweather (knee).

“I won’t know anything until Wednesday because we’re not pushing him,” Shanahan said. “He’s not running any routes, he’s not working out. He’s getting treatment. We’re hoping that by staying off it for a week that it’s much improved.”

Fletcher, meantime, is undergoing treatment on the right hamstring he strained while covering a Giants’ receiver early in the fourth quarter. The defensive captain did not return to the game and afterward said it's too early to know whether he'll be able to suit up Sunday in Pittsburgh.

“It’s a strained hamstring,” Shanahan said. “You don’t know with those hamstrings until someone starts working out. He’s getting treatment. We’ll find out more on Wednesday.”

Fletcher leads the team in tackles with 60.
