Carlin: Seattle one of the few teams that can match the Redskins on the ground
Kory Lichtensteiger did not practice Friday, according to Coach Mike Shanahan, raising doubts about his availability for Sunday’s playoff game.
Lichtensteiger sustained a sprained left ankle in the third quarter against the Cowboys and did not practice at all this week. If he’s unable to suit up, Shanahan said the veteran will be replaced by rookie Josh LeRibeus, who took all the reps at left guard the past three days.
“We’ll test him before the game,” Shanahan said of Lichtensteiger. “And we’ll go with who gives us the best chance to win.”
Cornerback Cedric Griffin, meantime, has been added to the 53-man roster after serving a four-game suspension. He’ll take the spot of D.J. Johnson, who was placed on injured reserve with a knee injury he suffered against Dallas.
DeJon Gomes (knee) said he expects to play barring a setback in Saturday's walkthrough.
