RG3: 'I would say I'm 100 percent'

Your Wednesday morning open thread:

It looks like five wide receivers are mortal locks to make the Redskins’ 53-man roster. It would be a major upset if Pierre Garçon, Leonard Hankerson, Joshua Morgan, Santana Moss, or Aldrick Robinson got a visit from The Turk this Saturday.

Behind those players, however, the picture is cloudy. There are four possibilities for the No. 6 spot on the wide receiver depth chart:

  • First-year receiver Lance Lewis, who has made some nice plays in training camp and in preseason games.
  • Dezmon Briscoe, entering his fourth NFL season, who was on the roster all of last year who also has flashed in preseason games.
  • The long shots are undrafted rookies Skye Dawson and Nick Williams.
  • The sixth WR spot could be left vacant.

What’s your pick? I’m posting my final projection for the 53 on Friday morning and I reserve the right to change my mind but I think I’m going with “none of the above”. I think they will opt to keep a fourth running back and/or a ninth offensive lineman over a sixth receiver.

But there are cases to be made for the other options as well. What do you think will happen?
