The Washington Capitals will face New York in the second round of the NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs thanks to the Rangers' Game 7 win over the Ottawa Senators on Thursday night. The Eastern Conference Semifinals matchup will begin in New York on Saturday, April 28 at 3 p.m. as the Rangers are seeded first in the conference and the Capitals seventh.

The Rangers and Capitals will meet in the playoffs for the third time in four years. Last season the Capitals won as the one seed over the eight-seeded Rangers in five games.
