The National Hockey League has announced the cancelation of games through Jan. 14., bringing the total of canceled games this season to 625.
Slighty more than half the 2012-13 season has now been canceled but an agreement could still be reached to salvage the season. Though the NHL scrapped the entire 2004-05 season after a new collective bargaining agreement could not be reached, the 1994-95 season was saved on Jan. 11, 1995 with games begining Jan. 20. As a result, an abreviated 48 game season was played.
