Maybe they should just start calling Kettler Capitals Iceplex the training home of Team USA.

Four weeks after announcing that Kettler would host the U.S. men’s Olympic hockey team orientation camp, USA Hockey announced on Friday that the U.S. Under-18 Select Team will be in Arlington for a series of practices next Sunday through Wednesday in preparation for the 2013 Ivan Hlinka Memorial Tournament.

Each of the Team USA practices will be free and open to the public. The schedule begins Sunday night with an on-ice practice from 8-9:10 p.m. Monday will feature two sessions, the first from 9:30-11 a.m. and the second from 7:50-8:50 p.m. Tuesday’s session will be from 9:10 -10:30 a.m.

The 2013 Ivan Hlinka Memorial Tournament will take place Aug. 5-10 in Breclav, Czech Republic, and Piestany, Slovakia, and features teams from Canada, CzechRepublic, Finland, Russia, Slovakia, Sweden, Switzerland and the United States.

The 22-player U.S. roster was picked following the USA Hockey Boys' Select 17 Player Development Camp that took place from June 28-July 3 at the NorthtownCenter at Amherst in Williamsville, N.Y.
