Good news for all the participants and spectators who are looking forward to the Marine Corps Historic Half on Sunday, May 19 in Fredericksburg, VA.

You will now be able to track a runner’s progress immediately via Facebook or Twitter. You will also have the option of obtaining continuous updates via email or texting throughout the entire race.

The Historic Half "Track A Runner" program is offered free of charge and presented by Hyundai Hope On Wheels. Register online to track a half marathon participant at www.marinemarathon.com.

"The Track A Runner program was initiated with great success during the 2012 Historic Half so runners and spectators can share these instant updates on Facebook and Twitter," says Rick Nealis Historic Half Race Director. "Family and friends who cannot attend the Historic Half can join in the excitement over these social networks."

Nearly 8,000 participants will run the scenic Marine Corps Historic Half now celebrating its sixth year in the City of Fredericksburg. Limited registration to run the Historic Half, Historic 10K or Semper Fred 5K is available at www.marinemarathon.com.
