Five-star recruit and former Montrose Christian star guard Allonzo Trier has committed to Sean Miller and Arizona on Sunday morning, according to multiple reports.
Georgetown and Maryland were among the teams targeting the 6-foot-3 wing threat. Rivals ranked the No. 12 overall prospect for the Class of 2015.
Evan Daniels of Scout.com first reported the commitment.
Trier, named the Maryland Gatorade Player of the Year, transferred from the Rockville program to Findlay Prep (Nev.) for his senior season.
With so many teams in the mix for Trier, the Hoyas may have already moved on. P.J. Dozier, a 6-foot-5 guard from South Carolina and a top-30 recruit per ESPN, recently listed Georgetown among his final five teams.
Georgetown is also in the mix for power forward Ivan Rabb, considered the top prospect in 2015. The Hoyas previously received a commitment from center Jessie Govan.
