WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – After posting an outstanding performance in the William and Mary football team’s victory against Hampton on Saturday, redshirt freshman running back Kendell Anderson has been selected as the Colonial Athletic Association Rookie of the Week.
En route to helping W&M earn the season-opening triumph, Anderson rushed for a career-high 97 yards on 14 carries (6.9 yards per carry) with a pair of touchdowns.
Through the first two games, Anderson leads the team with 128 rushing yards on 25 carries (5.1 yards per carry). Additionally, the Centreville, Va., native has a pair of receptions to go with his two touchdowns.
The Tribe will return to action this weekend when it plays at Lafayette on Saturday at 6 p.m.
