DeMatha alum Oladipo thrilled to go No. 2

Where he landed: Victor Oladipo has gone a long way from being the first man off the bench at DeMatha Catholic. The 6'5", 214 pound Oladipo graduated in three years from Indiana University and was selected second overall in the 2013 NBA Draft by the Orlando Magic.

How he fits: Oladipo may be the most dynamic scorer as a rookie on the Magic squad. At Indiana, Oladipo scored an incredibly efficient 13 points a game while playing tenacious on-ball defense. Magic fans can expect Oladipo to crack the starting lineup early in his rookie season, if not the first game of the year.

First-year outlook: This should be a great opportunity for Oladipo. Stifling defense can earn the most offensively limited player minutes in the NBA, and Oladipo is known for his defensive prowess. Coupled with an improved jump shot and strong penetrating ability, Oladipo could be a prime candidate for the NBA's All-Rookie team.

Long-term outlook: A lot of scouts and experts thought Oladipo had a good chance of being the best player in the 2013 draft. His improvement year over year at Indiana, coupled with an intense work ethic, really gives the young slasher a chance to acheive a lot of big things on the next level. Comparisons to Dwyane Wade may seem like a stretch now, but in five years that could be a different debate.
