Like many in this country, the local men's college basketball teams will be heading out of town for the holidays.

Actually, we already knew George Washington would be traveling around Thanksgiving, George Mason around Christmas. Now we have an itinerary for both.

The Colonials will be in Fullerton, Ca. for the eight-team Wooden Legacy, with Mike Lonergan's squad playing their first game on November 28 against Jim Larranaga's Miami (Fl.) Hurricanes. From there GW faces either Marquette or host school Cal State Fullerton. Creighton, Arizona State, San Diego State and College of Charleston are on the other side of the bracket.

As for the Patriots, who join George Washington in the Atlantic 10 this season, they will participate in the Diamond Head Classic in Honolulu. George Mason starts with a first-ever meeting against Iowa State on Sunday, December 22 at 5:30 p.m. ET followed by a matchup against either Oregon State or Akron on December 23. Others in the field include South Carolina, Hawaii, Boise State and Saint Mary's.

On Tuesday, Georgetown announced it will open it's run in the Puerto Rico tip-off against Northeastern on November 21.
