Jordan Roland, a 2015 recruit and reigning Class B Player of the Year in New York, has committed to George Washington men’s basketball program, a source confirmed to CSNwashington.

Roland, 6-foot-1, averaged 24 points per game a junior while leading Westhill High School to a 27-0 record.

Described as a combo guard with long arms and perimeter shooting skills, Roland scored 41 points in the Class B championship game victory.

Other schools considered in play for the Syracuse native include Bucknell, St. Bonaventure and Siena.

Colonials coach Mike Lonergan previously bolstered the 2015-16 roster by adding Wake Forest transfer Tyler Cavanaugh.

Incoming freshman Paul Jorgensen is expected to back up starting point guard McDonald this coming season. McDonald will enter 2015 as a senior.
