American University has lost two straight games and needs a victory over Navy to avoid it's first three-game skid in the Patriot League since 2010. Stephen Lumpkins' rebounding and historical domination of the Midshipmen should help the Eagles' bounce back chances.

The 77th all-time meeting between the two programs tips at 7 p.m. with coverage on Comcast SportsNet. American has won 22 of the last 26 games against Navy.

American (6-12, 1-2) rarely finds itself in the Patriot League's bottom tier yet after consecutive losses to Lehigh and Holy Cross, that is exactly it stands.

The 6-foot-8 Lumpkins finished with 17 points and 11 rebounds against Holy Cross on Saturday, but the Crusaders had far too much perimeter firepower, making 13 of 21 3-pointers.

Navy (7-12, 1-2) ranks third in the conference from beyond the arc, shooting 36.1 percent. The Midshipmen snapped a six-game losing streak by defeating Army on Sunday behind 16 points from sophomore forward Worth Smith.

Lumpkins ranks second in the Patriot League and 25th nationally with 9.6 rebounds. The senior also places fifth in the conference with 14.7 points and third with 1.3 blocks. Point guard Daniel Munoz contributes 10.3 ppg, 3.5 assists while shooting 87.8 on free throws.

Speaking of free throws, guard John Schoof has made all 24 of his attempts this season. The Woodson alum is also accurate from beyond the arc, making 46.9 percent of his 3-point attempts.

Navy point and Woodbridge, Va. native Tilman Dunbar leads the Patriot League with 5.2 assists.
