DeAngelo Hall doesn't like NFL's decision to suspend Brandon Meriweather

When news broke that the NFL suspended Redskins safety Brandon Meriweather for the first two games of the 2014 season, Twitter reactions came fast and furious. Meriweather has a checkered past of violating unnecesary roughness rules throughout his NFL career, but the hit against Baltimore's Torrey Smith did not seem illegal to Meriweather or Washington teammate DeAngelo Hall. Hall took to Twitter to defend his teammate.

Certainly the repeat nature of Meriweather's violations are a big part of the suspension. No tweets yet from the suspended safety, but Redskins linebacker Brian Orakpo also expressed his frustration with the suspension.

On the field, Meriweather's suspension could mean Bacarri Rambo starts the first two games of the year for Washington. Also, the suspension creates an additional roster spot while Meriweather is forced to sit out. More players reaction below:
