Ravens Haloti Ngata said that he kicked Shaun Lauvao in the “heat of the moment” after the Redskins guard delivered what Ngata though was a late block on Baltimore cornerback Dominique Franks.

Here is the play, which took place at the end of a 19-yard Alfred Morris run in the first quarter.

"When I saw Lauvao do that, I kind of was just pissed that he was doing that and just nudged him," Ngata told Aaron Wilson of the Baltimore Sun. "Kind of a heat-of-the-moment thing. That was the only thing. I was just trying to protect my player."

There was not penalty on the play but Ngata could find his paycheck over 10 grand light if he gets fined by the NFL for unsportsmanlike conduct.

"No disrespect to Shawn because we know each other," Ngata said. "It was the heat of the moment, and just was mad that he tried a late hit."
