This time next week, the first round of the NFL Draft will be over and all of D.C. will be focused on the Redskins pick, number 34 overall and the second pick in the second round. Washington needs a lot of help at positions all over the field, but the areas in most need of help are the defensive backfield and the offensive line.

So what will the Skins do? Now is the time for predictions. Our NFL Draft expert Ben Standig has Washington going defense and taking Jimmie Ward, a safety out of Northern Illinois. While the program is not particularly pedigreed, Ward is a player, and would surprise few if he ended up a starter late in his rookie season. NFL.com has the Skins going offense, taking Nevada tackle Joel Bitonio.
