DeAngelo Hall has been the best cornerback for the Redskins since his arrival, and last season proved more of the same. Hall led the Redskins with four interceptions, two more than Brandon Meriweather and David Amerson tied for second with two picks.
But with Hall a year older and Amerson a year more experienced, could the second-year CB out of N.C. State make a jump? Amerson has the talent and will get as much playing time as possible this season. He will have chances for more picks. And opposing defenses may challenge Amerson more than they do Hall.
Beyond Amerson, any other players that could challenge Hall for the team lead in interceptions? Ryan Clark grabbed two picks for the Steelers last season, could he see a spike in interceptions? What about Philip Thomas? In college he proved to have a nose for the ball, leading the country in interceptions his senior year. But after missing his rookie season due to injury, Thomas may not be quite ready.
Who will lead the Redskins in interceptions in 2014? Does DeAngelo Hall continue to lead? Let us know in the comments.
