The Redskins have agreed to terms with sixth round draft pick Lache Seastrunk, according to a report.

Seastrunk, the 186th overall pick Saturday, will receive a four year contract and a $110,500 signing bonus, according to The Baltimore Sun’s Aaron Wilson. The total value of the deal is $2.33 million.

Seastrunk, a shifty runner with good top end speed, rushed for 1,117 yards last season at Baylor, averaging 7.4 yards per carry.  The Texas native was also a teammate of quarterback Robert Griffin III, who lobbied head coach Jay Gruden on his behalf.

Seastrunk joins a backfield that features Alfred Morris, Roy Helu Jr., Evan Royster and Chris Thompson.

“What we’re envisioning for him early on is not so much a third down guy that can spell Morris and hit the home run,” Gruden said. “He’s got the breakaway speed and hopefully in time he will be able to develop into a blocker/receiver.”
