But the round I think he DC sports scene and also the national sports scene. And Agassi got to start with the NBA playoffs last night Oklahoma City getting a big win now 16100. Over doubts they tie things up. In -- Western Conference finals and are you know local product Kevin Durant goes off Eric Maynor as well yet exciting night for up for the thunder and really. A great night for bass brought Jason I would talk about this all the time and and people in the office now I'm not the biggest NBA fan. But okay I'll give it to on the Western Conference finals they've got -- hooked on the into the storyline there's so many good story lines in this series. And last night to get it tied going back to Oklahoma City I think really. Makes it interesting hadn't needed. Absolutely -- we we now have a series and it took an incredible performance by the collective Oklahoma City Thunder to do that. They play Scott brooks head coach Scott brooks played the entire fourth quarter with. Kevin Durant and the four bench players and you look at the box score their their plus minus numbers like -- -- was plus eighteen. There was a reason why he kept them in the and they really carried away yet you mentioned you know one of the guys added to give way for all those bench guys. Is Russell Westbrook I think you know plus minus is more hockey -- let's be honest but if you look at it. I think Westbrook plus minus this like -- Yeah minus one minus twelve so he didn't have a great night gets benched for the full fourth quarter and this is a player. You know I think second team all NBA -- it is is highly thought of in a lot of ways around week until about the last month. And then when people start watching Oklahoma City this it will. Why doesn't Kevin Durant take all the shots lets us Russell Westbrook is a pretty good player he likes he's got to get his I think for that team to be good. But he's the kind of vilified and that of course last night -- doubt he gets benched. They make this you know great run in the fourth quarter suddenly Russell Westbrook looks kinda like the bad guy I'm interested to see how that dynamic plays that go forward. We are now now the team and he had kind of been put under the microscope we've kind of seen it. He you know he's points -- only make some questionable decisions and that's what did and then last night statistically had a pretty decent game it -- -- points to seven for fifteen from the field. But toward the end of the third quarter he made some key turnovers -- four turnovers compared to force this Scott brooks yanked him from the game and and play in the entire fourth quarter. And I think it's going to be a real test for him as like I said his twenties when the young startling there's going to be a real test for him emotionally and mentally yet they got the win. But is still -- see how he bounces back personally. And how he performs in game three considering all the adversity he's -- luckily they got the win because I think this would be an even bigger deal than it is right now. Nonetheless it's pretty big yeah right and it. If you watch any idea early morning sports shows that are -- in the talk radio circuit that's all they're talking about right now as Russell Westbrook and. And his dynamic with with Scott brooks and and it will be very interesting to see how that plays out night. Can't really you know we have mentioned Dirk and all but can't talk about this series without. Mentioning Kevin Durant and and preparing for the show you know just like kind of start kicking out at the is Kevin Durant obviously went to Montrose Christian he's got that local tie. On you know it's it's Wizards tied to talk about the draft and rebuilding that team how amazing would it be Kevin Durant wood were to come back here now we know he. Just re sign an extension to stay in Oklahoma City seems to be. Pretty happy in Oklahoma City being a kind of. Second tier celebrity or maybe a low profile guy that's his personality and that's fine. But I just can't get over awarding huge star Kevin Durant would be in this city given demographics given his age given export. Given the fact that he's a local high school product. I mean it does seem like a match made. Haven't and if it's really only three or four years away maybe that's endurance in his prime while we are entering several months of the traditional Washington DC to dream big cut. Dream of all stars and other teams that could be here who can get in the draft. It is unrealistic he just signed a five year extension but. It is intriguing you know in five years still going to be what. You know 2728. Years old or -- or forty years like now let's say Oklahoma city's like we gotta get something for this guy before his contract runs out I mean you're right he's gonna -- his front. Right yeah is going to be yet in his prime but. Like I was saying before the show he he'd lived in DC went to Montrose Christian but chose your receipts taxes there. He's still in that region the United States maybe that's where he you know on the -- Kind of a different cat -- -- these stars and and he he enjoys playing small market and I mean. Did the GM there Sampras he's built a winner and usually that's what. But makes a guy leave a small market town is that they just don't find support form right has the support they're winning and it looks like it may be the beginning of an effort to. Yeah I salute him -- that team is is if anything their hope for the Wizards you know -- -- how to quickly turn around I will say this. Russell Westbrook if he's not there and a few years if if this rift between him and coach brooks has too much to overcome. That might change this team and they may not isn't as attractive place for Kevin Durant to be. In 34 years absolutely I let's focus on hometown guys right kids you know what else that we got if if we don't have the -- They got the six and I think what eighteenth pick in the upcoming draft. Obviously the NBA is -- -- we don't know what's gonna happen next year. I'm but the Wizards have -- -- if I would field. In the upcoming draft to make some pretty decent additions to this roster. I don't. No. Necessarily what we are looking for other than everything you know you guessing you don't at a point guard. Yes. We think that they're gonna go for a big man that's probably the deepest position. Aware they're taken in the draft the deepest position in the draft a point guard but they want to get somebody who can rebound you know this is an estimated that it's. It's pretty obvious they're very then down. A lot of buzz that's surrounding -- Leonard. Out of San Diego State he's a guy who's only about 67 or six say he's got huge hands long arms great rebounder last year averaged sixteen points and ten rebounds. So he's intriguing also. In this cancer at a Turkey he he was a student assistant coach at. Kentucky last year but ineligible -- -- eligible because he accepted money as an amateur pro in Turkey. He is said he said publicly that. The Wizards are his first choice where -- like that but it sixteen might not be there although. Draft express dot com has been slotted for a good. And also set point out the fact that. Maybe that package that eighteenth pick in the sixth day and move up because there is some value around eight. Right and so obvious I mean you know Kansas a guy who I think a lot of people now are starting to kind of you know get hot about because he's he's been hot topic. And we know that we got the interview sounded -- -- and Chris Miller on CS and Washington knock out you can check that out pressure real quick just a quick answer. Big or small what you do you mean do you take the home run shot in the wizards' six -- do you take the safe pick if you are -- ground. I would go the safe pick I think the home run option would probably one of the big European player and I think that there's too much of a wild card. The positive for them is that there is a lock out they can continue to play in Europe but I think they need to get get a a veteran guy who played a few years in college. A guy who you know is just gonna go after every rebound and be. Just give an effort every night because that has been a problem with them especially down low. That's the culture for the Washington Wizards. Isn't exactly where they would like to be I think they need to get hard nosed rebound like colleague letter to me maybe even -- for read -- yeah NCAA all time leading rebounder they might get in the eighteenth pick. I think that insults it yeah I mean you look at I mean obviously they're not inside guys but the guards for Oklahoma City in guys who had very productive collegiate careers. -- Harden just you know a few guys to name. Islets -- sports a little bit. Talk about the Redskins wanna I mean that's what it all revolves around us if that wilder in the -- the Redskins are winning. -- got to sit there watching dot com and you'll see that despite the fact it's not football season it is. Very much football season obviously to talk this week all about the quarterbacks. Job back there and you know his hat in the ring and I'll say this it's entertaining. I mean John -- You know he's is got a future PR it's it's almost like a professional wrestling right now everyone's got like. What you said thrown out and now the quarterback -- -- -- cornerback. Oh we need to do is get them -- -- -- -- you know on -- for what it's worth I think I think back is shown that he he wants the job I mean everybody wants the job though. Rex Grossman obviously an option Donovan McNabb. I don't know I I guess he's still out there as a Redskins banned because -- note you know we don't get into this business. For journalism we get into the fans try to make some journalism right out there up but. As a fan as a true fan. What's what's your beat on us. Well as a fan I would like to see Donovan McNabb come back but I don't think that's realistic I think that Grossman and Beck will back obviously will be back he's under contract but I think they'll bring back Grossman. But I I I. I just don't think you can trust anything that election and says especially when he so blunt about it no -- asked about -- -- right that press conference. He all the sudden started talking about it started saying how he was the highest rated quarterback in that draft well mean you were talking like we said before. That draft. Wasn't exactly the best draft for quarterbacks of our bills great quarterback Trent Edwards can't -- that Marcus Russell went 11 overall the next quarterback pick was Kevin -- and he's probably had the best career. What are you born in fourth starter and started you know six or seven games of you can't really say much about that and John -- about turn there yet I think he's a solid option -- that is -- it to -- at BYU. He can definitely play. The question is whether -- get someone batted in because. He's completely unproven. What happened with Todd Collins a few years ago you can expect some. Pounds Thomas as the Buffalo Bills fans have a spot this and you know there's there's one other thing. You know about the -- Redskins kind of controversy here -- question and that's. You know there's gotta be I can't imagine that a guy is detail oriented as Mike Shanahan does not a free agent. Option out there and he's ready to sign since the lock stock right Islanders Tampa writing about that assists and Washington knocked out there has to be. Another choice threatening you know -- really gonna go into -- season. Second season in a five year deal for Shanahan. With all of your hopes -- -- And Grossman are right yeah I don't think he can he can possibly do that the competitor he is because. They want to improve every year and it it's hard to see them improving from their record are improving from. Having the tenth pick in the draft with John Beck or Rex Grossman at quarterback I think that. Chance bright guys on and the few players that would you'd have to trade or -- Vince Young actually Kyle Orton but right now you Kenny discuss trades though. You know maybe he's he's making a list a wish list of something but right now he can't do anything about it.
