CS and Washington dot com. Everybody Ross Taylor here with Sebastian cells are a very special guest Ivan Carter you might recognize him from Washington Post live with Ivan -- this is. The black and red report is DC united takes to the road I've been -- go to Portland. I used to cover the NBA's Washington Wizards and I know Portland is a place that all the very dear place in your heart. Great city great families I'm not surprised at all that they have the passion they have for this team. -- that great stadium for an -- mr. with a five and -- you know racers in undefeated they're passionate. Poor children is as far as there's no NHL team. So this I can see why they have such -- following for whatever reason we're in the northwest they're all in. Cycles about this is a tradition. And a follow -- that goes back decades in Portland finally getting their first crack and MLS and are making the most of -- yeah. Yeah I mean a five and on home as you mentioned really really good. And you know they've got a lot of players that they can really cause some problems for DC united Kenny Cooper up top as physical and we talked about the center of these United's back line that day on Djokovic. And now we can -- those guys are real physical but they're gonna have their toughest test yet against Cooper. And Portland is very good at something to DC united is not very good at not set pieces Jackie's -- with five assists he's great at put -- dangers -- dangerous spot. DC's gonna have to shore that up. DC's had trouble scoring off set pieces and more importantly for this game in particular. Defending against said pieces couple of our old friends of course blame for the Timbers now there's no pity in Portland as they say but. We we -- that we don't want that Rodney Wallace Bosnia and Rodney Wallace and Troy Perkins will see Troy Perkins in net for. For -- it did in goal for for Portland and Rodney Wallace out on the flight. Maybe maybe matching up against is buddy Chris -- Yeah a lot of cities -- -- -- the fourth this week he's been roommates and stuff like that permits for two years and now units are -- players that I think these united now when you look at that trade -- At one point people said the Dax McCarty for Ronnie Moss trade was a wash for DC united and I got to look at it as it was pretty good deal for Portland they got a very valuable piece to building a team. It's as simple addition to going on the road I was checking on this. It's what as far as I know no team has gone either coast in one in the MLS this season. And it is in a very well right now -- -- the first two months of the season it's tough to make that that three hour trip. Sorry -- you know three hours that you lose an inter out. I'm -- so good hitters out there I don't remember it we can ally yet another stay out pearl -- play and play in LA. Also be interesting to see who actually plays in Portland doesn't look like Charlie Davies can -- the field. Didn't get in to practice before the team left to go out to the West Coast more likely playing. Against the LA Galaxy in the following match five days later to Oswalt though. In training -- ramp things up will probably seem to think. -- Josh -- was one he's got that he can find its way out of field and he certainly can do everything in his power. To make that happen then you gotta start thing about who's the next forward. I think there's a couple of guys it's either Blake Brad Schneider and maybe San -- brought -- my vote would be for San Tino based on recent performances are no pressure not about the goal against I acts. But what sense you know did in his last outing against Colorado really. Precipice as well British -- 'cause there's more could you imagine having your first goal at any point I guess I actually that's number one and then he was really really good in the pre season at it. Howdy do you think they wanna Bowling -- and -- -- is this not the environment for him or do you -- about Tennessee we can do we know you're get sent to. Tell you what Ben Olson is not shy about playing rookies and he's not shy about playing young guys I think that we've seen that. He doesn't know how old some his players are he throws and out they're based on on how to you know his comfort level they set he picks Brent Schneider will go with them. So yeah some guys have an ability to do well probably Brett Favre one of those guys from watching him in practice and we've watched him a lot and I watch and this week in practice. It's got a nose for the net he's -- of those guys who just figures out ways to get balls in the net and that's the biggest thing when -- -- up top. I'm with you at seventeen although. From an emotional standpoint one because we all like San -- and we all want to work -- brings it eat nothing but good things for -- the way he's handled this change in sort of professional atmosphere for him. He deserves a shot and by his work -- and effort that he's been putting characteristic. Hope that you short soccer repeat something why aren't they better on set pieces explain that to those of us got a -- architect of they do they have no one that can whenever I had her in the half yeah that the problem one there. This is short TE so the guy who's five yeah they -- get a yeah I didn't can look I I would most of the guys that I even nicer since getting knocked around eight and they're short they're not that big and and let's be honest. Dax McCarty hasn't exactly put a ton -- balls in dangerous deserve. Has been any shot that I think you know you can say hi I've seen short players who can get up and how that timing. -- the service hasn't been good hasn't just been Axl I think he's been the most noticeable service is just not enough to -- you've got to get the ball over the first offender or else you -- what he's just got to try different things and -- you know it hasn't been working I've seen him hit a good once is not -- guy can't do it but I think was not. Report -- suggests -- right -- yeah check out -- in both live weekdays at five also at 1030 on Comcast sports and big thanks Ivan Carter huge soccer fan. -- Barcelona man you guys. -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- Course teachers I don't look at Augusta he scored -- -- go Barcelona because they are the best team I have. -- seat just right now they're unbelievable that's like Ivan thanks to watch -- thank you protect us out of black red report yards isn't watching dot com Sebastien I'll be back next week thanks.
