CSN Washington dot com. And their folks welcome and is CSN Washington dot com Sebastien sounds are joined by air force head coach Troy Calhoun and coach -- welcome to the DC area I know it's a quick stay for you. But to be back for the football game -- table on the 28. Taking on Toledo. I talked to me a little bit about the significance for your players who I would think they're pretty patriotic bunch of playing in the nation's capital you don't get to do that every. You know you don't -- one of just a perfect opportunity not only for football program but more so for the United States Air Force Academy and a do you think -- kind of commitment that these young men and young women have made at the air force academy go on active duty disservice leaders for our country. To answer where that call and wherever it may be that they do have to serve and they do it incredibly well. But there -- some special up in right here at the nation's capital. I'm always kind of curious how coaches deal with the long break between your last game in the ball game either any tricks of the trade or anything that that you guys employed air force. I've got to keep the guys focus over that monthlong spell -- we do if anything's Sebastien we're really back off on the football part of it just because our guys are in the middle finals right now. He and when you're taken eighteen semester hours at the air force academy. Over very lengthy semester began back on Thursday August 4. You -- make sure they got all the time they need to take these finals last but three and a half hours each. We -- that your success -- a football team it's predicated on the ground game averaging I think over 320 yards a second or third there in the FBS. Why is the triple option so successful not just with you guys but with the service academies as a whole when you look. I mean you ten for the most part to be a pretty small football team well anyone down -- squad that's bigger than 255. Pounds. When you're two tackles division one felt more 245. Pounds the other sure there are certain things that you do do. They give your guys a chance to experience success and and I think the other part the kind of precision that team -- the unity the spree. Thanks naturally built some of the things you do offensively is a must and that in itself lets a little bit unique I think if if her body was underneath center in the I formation throughout college football would be in the shot and I think you do some different service academy. Talk to me a little bit about the on match up on the 28 obviously what most people figure should be issued out. Well they're they are exceptionally dynamic very electric football team I -- number of playmakers over there. And yet they've been extremely stout Toledo's defense has against the run and so. Should be a great great contest. They are very very talented well coached. And and yet I think what you'll see is I think you're seeing great -- great energy at both teams I coach Calhoun thanks for your time -- thank you its air force taking on Toledo in the military bowl December 28 at RF today.
