Terps QB CJ Brown tears ACL, out for season

CSN Washington dot com. Maryland football dealt a huge blow today devastating news out of College Park this afternoon. Starting quarterback CJ brown will miss the entire season after tearing his ACL in a non contract non contact drill last night. Brown started five games for the terps last season and the dual threat QB was supposed to be one of the leaders to help turn the Maryland football program around. Now the terps are left with two. True freshmen quarterbacks on the roster. Met with him last night you know after it happened on the practice field we talked and that I met with him this morning again. After the MRI and after we got the results and then. Just was with him about. You know fifteen minutes ago and and as you can imagine it's it's it's tough on him. He's got a lot of emotions. You know right now. But. And I told him and I just got through addressing his team. Is it CJ is going to be as big a part of this team is. Certainly was going to be if he was a starting quarterback you know he's sort of captain. He's going to be our a leader for us she's going to be a coach for a -- -- -- -- certainly young quarterbacks. He's gonna do all the things that he can do. To make this team better. Now it appears Perry hills will become the terps news starting QB hills comes to Maryland. From Pittsburgh -- central Catholic high school. He chose Maryland over Miami of Ohio and last week -- cancel said hills has a leg up on fellow true freshman Caleb -- For the backup QB job obviously.
