CSN Washington dot com begins our week long preview of local college football teams as we get ready to kick off the new season Thursday night. Unfortunately for Maryland they're beginning this season. The same way they ended last season with injuries the biggest being their starting quarterback CJ brown. Redshirt junior tore his ACL last week you'll miss the entire year. So -- hills a true freshman takes the reins. True freshman cherry hills arrived at College Park prepared to back up CJ brown at quarterback and be ready to take the field at a moment's notice. We'll -- time came earlier than anyone thought. I just see a guy that's out here you know continually get better and continuing himself in the right way and learning the game planning to go out and execute. I'm excited to watch him and everybody. Even though they -- historic didn't change how I was I'd say -- repairing. Because I was always in there watching film study my playbook and just trying to get better over time built with teammates have been very impressed -- what they've seen so far. Very different shows love -- it. He's he's he's very encouraging. The love I love hearing room. You know some guys just talk to talk to still -- -- talks and that it's annoying but carries extra sense of doing talks. And I mean you can make some big time throws them. You know the scrimmage. Last week he threw deep corner routes Kerry Boykins that was beautiful but they also understand the freshman -- support. On the field and off we just got to be able to suffer so over the bomber receiver had a normal routes -- to -- -- -- -- -- -- of the offensive Justin make his reads it would be easy sleeping. The season just kind of flow of things carefully nation will have their first and it just feels on December 1 against the mayor you can bet. We're ready I just look at it as a great opportunity and I mean it should it benefit us CSN Washington dot com.
