Skins Social: State of NFC East and can Redskins beat Ravens?
Wed, 5 Dec 2012|
With a 1716. Win over the Giants here at FedEx Field the Redskins have now won three straight in their division. We always like to take questions from the fans on skin so I'm Jennifer Williams alongside -- camera. -- our first question comes from -- may 22 and he has to know about the state of the NFC east. Is it just that that division is weak or they just enjoyed beat him beating each other out.
Well there's a weakness there isn't parity you know I mean it's it's hard to set that you have -- and safely excludes -- from the conversation about. About winning their division but I think in and the Redskins and Giants in the in the Cowboys. To get three teams that they have very significant strengths. Mainly all three of them have very good quarterbacks. Day. They have known to have some some some good running backs and that the wide receiver. They also have some very very weak spots. You know Natalie -- I think between Dallas does have pretty strong defensive backfield. But -- did their defense doesn't ever seem quite -- again together Redskins and and Giants. Maybe the combine the two teams to come up with equality. NFL starting defensive backfield. But you know again there but there aren't any real great dominant teams out there. Yeah Atlanta is -- good teams out there great 49ers. Same thing as you saw it yesterday -- found a way to -- game that they had won so.
And the Redskins could a loss today to get and they they definitely had their opportunities do that but you know defense came through. Our -- first half. The offense got a couple first downs and they needed it in that they've posted the win.
Are looking towards next week Douglas Castro Watson know about the Ravens liked to the Redskins need to -- or -- Redskins get that W vs the Ravens. We'll be hosting them here at FedEx Field.
I am on anybody wants the Ravens yesterday hands on -- there's -- Charlie bats. And Steelers team that again not much of an offensive line for on on that team. -- defensive backfield is pretty beaten out. No not certainly not -- juggernaut into the Steelers team we've seen in recent years. Our current nurses at Duke yes exactly this shower curtain steeler but. Other Ravens you know they they they found a way to lose -- Rented and that was at home the Ravens have not been that good on -- especially Joseph Flacco. And Joseph Flacco can rattle. Only. No he's not he's won some games he's he's won some playoff games and I think. Yeah I certainly change his read his won loss record in Baltimore for one -- we've seen here. But at the same time you -- can get rattled peaking yet he knew he can get to you know I mean -- out in force and making the big mistake so. Well and we'll -- but are they capable of being in the Ravens certainly hard to contain Ray Rice will be key there. Backs offered hard straight right now I think again -- got a little ways to go before India. -- yes it's already history -- at the right he's been in emirates in certain you have there they're called him back for the Redskins. Once again big -- quarterback. They've got RG terrain they had a chance what is the storyline to watch heading into Sunday. On. I think -- and the Redskins run the ball consistent -- this is not the yeah down is not your older Brothers Ravens team had not. They've not been all that good lately against Serena they're they're minus Ray Lewis they've been without two girls lectured second year. You know they've they've had plenty of injury just. Yet just like just like the Redskins have so. You know I I think but still there they're still like note well schemed well schooled disciplined defense the Redskins can run on them. Do they did today. In the passing game for RG three. Could see definitely see you repeat on what we saw tonight a a hard fought tense down the -- struggle with with another quality division leading team.
Catcher policy that fumble for TD return again it was that -- something like that. Rich thank you so much. And thank you for submitting questions keep it locked on CSN Washington dot com for all your Redskins --
