The biggest mystery of the Washington Redskins offseason was solved last week when general manager Bruce Allen named Jay Gruden head coach.
Jay Gruden has interest in speaking to Bengals assistant Paul Guenther about the defensive coordinator position in Washington, according to two reports.
If reports are accurate and Jim Haslett does remain as the Redskins’ defensive coordinator, it is likely that Jay Gruden will have a talk with him about becoming too predictable.
We don’t know who will be coordinating the Redskins’ defense. Jay Gruden refused to confirm or deny reports that Jim Haslett or possibly Raheem Morris would be the one to lead the defense.
When Mike Shanahan took over the Redskins in 2010 he insisted on overhauling Washington's defense from a 4-3 scheme to a 3-4 base.
