LAS VEGAS -- Paul Pierce isn't coming to the Wizards to replace Otto Porter.

Only two teams have beaten the Brooklyn Nets since Feb. 27, and one was the Wizards who pulled out a 101-94 victory at Verizon Center.

The table is set for the Wizards to finally get over .500, and for the first time this late in a season since 2008, on Wednesday.

Desperation is abound in the East as there are just a few days left in 2013 and time running out to turn around the season.

Not only are the Boston Celtics better than anyone expected with a first-year coach in Brad Stevens, they're flourishing with Wizards castoff Jordan Crawford as the starting point guard.
