The Redskins’ revamped offensive line had a ragged afternoon in pass protection Sunday, prompting Coach Jay Gruden to say the unit needs “to step it up.” 


The Redskins offensive line will have a new starter, and one switching positions. As such, the unit has the task of protecting QB Robert Griffin III and need to come together. 


RICHMOND—The shoulder pads came out for the first time on Saturday and, predictably, there were a handful of big hits.


Need to Know: During minicamp the Redskins lined up four of the same five offensive lineman who started last year.
