The Oneida Nation met with NFL officials on Wednesday to discuss concerns with the Washington Redskins team name. Following the meeting, the NFL released the following statement:


Redskins owner Dan Snyder will meet with NFL commissioner Roger Goodell on Tuesday to discuss the controversy surrounding the team name, CSNWashington has learned.


Faced with dwindling fan interest from a subpar game product, the NFL knew its Pro Bowl needed a drastic overhaul. And now, the NFL responded.


As of 4 p.m. Wednesday, the Redskins were still waiting for word from the NFL regarding any potential punishment for cornerback DeAngelo Hall.
