Bethesda, Md. (Sept. 3, 2013) – Comcast SportsNet Mid-Atlantic kicks off its comprehensive multiplatform coverage of the 2013 Washington Redskins’ and Baltimore Ravens’ NFL regular seasons this week, which is highlighted by the return of its marquee pre- and post-game shows, daily football programs and head coach news conference coverage. The network will also deliver extensive team content across its news and entertainments shows, which include Geico SportsNet Central and SportsTalk Live, and digital platforms, which are led by CSNwashington.com and CSNbaltimore.com. 

Redskins Kickoff, Redskins Postgame Live

Redskins Kickoff, the Emmy Award-winning Redskins pre-game show, will make its regular-season debut live from FedExField prior to the team’s primetime opener against Philadelphia on Monday, Sept. 9, at 6 p.m. Redskins Postgame Live, the one-hour post-game show, will start immediately after the game. Hosted by Chick Hernandez, the shows will feature analysts Brian Mitchell and Trevor Matich, reporting from Rob Carlin and Redskins Insider Tarik El-Bashir and regular appearances by special guest analysts. The programs will surround each Redskins game this season.

Ravens Kickoff, Ravens Postgame Live

Ravens Kickoff, which will make its season debut on Thursday, Sept. 5, at 7:30 p.m. leading into the team’s primetime opener at Denver, will air for an hour prior to select games this season. Ravens Postgame Live will begin immediately after Thursday night’s match-up and will follow all regular-season games for an hour. Hosted by Chris Miller, the exclusive Ravens pre- and post-game shows will feature reporter Brent Harris and analysts Brad Jackson, Antonio Freeman and Matt Stover. Ravens Insider Clifton Brown will contribute to the coverage.

Daily Redskins, Ravens & NFL Programs

Geico SportsNet Central: Football Tonightwill provide Redskins and Ravens news, analysis, commentary and debate throughout the season on weekdays at 6 p.m. and 12 a.m. Redskins Nation, hosted by Larry Michael, airs weekdays at 5:30 p.m. and 11 p.m. in the Washington market (5:30 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. in the Baltimore market.) The lineup of Ravens shows will air weekdays beginning Sept. 10 and will include 1 Winning Drive (Tuesday), Ravens One on One (Wednesday), Ravens Nest (Thursday) and Ravens Report (Friday). The Ravens programs will air at 5 p.m. and 11 p.m. in the Baltimore market (5 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. in the Washington market.)

Head Coach News Conference Coverage

Comcast SportsNet will again deliver coverage of the Ravens’ and Redskins’ weekly head coach news conferences as part of half-hour news and analysis shows. SportsNet Central: Mike Shanahan Livewill air live at 3 p.m. the day after each game, with an encore at 3:30 p.m., beginning Tuesday, Sept. 10. SportsNet Central: John Harbaugh Live will debut Friday, Sept. 6. John Harbaugh Live will air at 5 p.m. the day after each game, with encores at 11 p.m. in the Baltimore market (11:30 p.m. in the Washington market.)

Sports News & Entertainment Shows

Extensive Redskins and Ravens coverage will be featured throughout the season on Geico SportsNet Central, which now airs live daily at 10:30 p.m. and 1 a.m., and SportsTalk Live, which now airs live at 10 p.m. and encores at 12:30 a.m. In addition, the network will deliver exclusive interviews with the teams’ head coaches within its news and entertainment programs the day following each game and on Thursdays and Fridays throughout the season.

Digital Media Content

Comcast SportsNet’s digital media properties, highlighted by CSNwashington.com and CSNbaltimore.com, will continue to feature extensive Redskins and Ravens coverage throughout the season. Led by El-Bashir, Brown and Redskins Blogger Rich Tandler, comprehensive content will be delivered across the network’s online, mobile and social media platforms, which include Redskins Pulse and Ravens Pulse social media centers.
