Wizards vs. Nets

At Barclays Center

TV: CSN, 7:30 p.m. ET

Season series: Nets lead 2-1.

Last meeting: The Nets won 95-78 on March 8 in Brooklyn. The Wizards never were in that one as PG Deron Williams made an NBA-record nine three-pointers in the first half, 11 overall, en route to a season-high 42 points. The result made Wizards coach Randy Wittman move Garrett Temple into the starting lineup, because he needed a better ball-handler than Trevor Ariza, in place of Bradley Beal who had an ankle injury.

Previous game: The Wizards lost to the Philadelphia 76ers 97-86 on Friday to fall to 29-51. The Nets lost at the Toronto Raptors 93-87 on Sunday to fall to 47-33.

Projected starting lineups: Wizards -– PG John Wall, SG Garrett Temple, SF Cartier Martin, PF Trevor Booker, C Emeka Okafor. Nets –- PG CJ Watson, SG MarShon Brooks, SF Gerald Wallace, PF Kris Humphries, PF Andray Blatche

Trending upward: Wall still is consistently getting to the foul line. He has attempted 27 in the last three games. ... Backup C Kevin Seraphin is being more of a physical presence in the low post. He had three blocks vs. Philadelphia, one short of a season-high. He has nine in the last five games. In seven games before this stretch, Seraphin had none.

Trending downward: PF Nene (left foot/right knee soreness), SF Martell Webster (abdominal strain) and SF Trevor Ariza (sore left knee) are done for the season. …  Backup PG A.J. Price was 0-for-7 on three-pointers and the Wizards 1-for-13 overall.

He said it: “If you’re talking the playoffs, the main teams their main guys play a majority of the games. … It’s important that this summer is a big step that (Nene) gets himself healthy. He had no training camp. He basically had no practice time.” -- Wittman on Nene

Around the bend: Wednesday at Chicago Bulls, 8 p.m. ET on CSN.
