The NBA is going global. At least for the preseason.

We already know the Wizards are heading to Brazil for the preseason. The league released the full slate of preseason games, which starts October 5 - in Istanbul when Kevin Durant and the Oklahoma City Thunder take on Turkish basketball club Fenerbahce Ulker.

The 2013-14 NBA Global Games preseason schedule includes games in eight international cities: Beijing and Shanghai, China; Bilbao, Spain; Manchester, England; Manila, Philippines; Taipei in addition to Istanbul and Rio de Janeiro. John Wall, Nene and the Wizards face the Chicago Bulls - perhaps including Derrick Rose - on October 12 in the first-ever NBA game played in Brazil.
