His career just 16 games old, and now Victor Oladipo is entering his toughest stretch as a professional. His Orlando Magic play here vs. the Wizards on Monday, his first game back home (CSN, 7 p.m. ET).

Oladipo, who attended DeMatha Catholic in nearby Hyattsville, Md., and No. 2 overall draft pick in June, has made six starts. He's averaging 13.2 points, 3.5 assists and 3.9 rebounds for the Magic, who are on a 10-day road trip.

He hasn't done anything to disappoint. He has started six games and is the point guard of the future for Orlando (6-10).

John Wall of the Wizards is looking forward to matching up. Oladipo has the size and athleticism that could give Wall trouble, but the Wizards can spread the floor with Martell Webster and Trevor Ariza spotting up in the corners.

The Wizards have playoff aspirations. The Magic are rebuilding.

"I just like how he has that dog. He has that A-factor," Wall said when asked about Oladipo's progress. "He's backing down from nobody. Very strong. Very athletic. Quick with the ball. i think he's still trying to find his way into this league, find his game.

"It's not just him. Arron Afflalo is having a good year. (Nikola) Vucevic is playing big. It's just going to be another tough game."
