Known for his work in player development, the Washington Wizards have decided to bring back assistant coach Ryan Sanders for a fifth season.

According to a statement released by the Mark Termini Associates agency, Saunders will remain in Washington despite drawing interest from the Minnesota Timberwolves where his father Flip Saunders is the President of Basketball Operations.

Before joining Flip on the Wizards staff, the younger Saunders played four season at Minnesota where he served as a captain for two-seasons.

He then spent a year coaching under Tubby Smith, where he helped the Golden Gophers to an NCAA Tournament appearance.
