High school honors Wizards guard Bradley Beal

Not sure when this ends, but right now writing about departures within the Wizards front office is a regular gig.

Mike Wilson, head of the organization's college scouting for the past nine seasons, has taken a player personnel position with the Dallas Mavericks. Yahoo's Adrian Wojnarowski reported Wilson's departure this week. He previously served as a scout with the Denver Nuggets and as a college assistant.

Previously this summer, director of player personnel Pat Connelly joined the Phoenix Suns' scouting departmentMilt Newton, VP of player personnel, left to become the new general manager of the Minnesota Timberwolves; and former assistant coach Jerry Sichting left to take an assistant position with the Phoenix Suns

In each situation, the person took a promotion; Sichting didn't sit on the bench during games last season. It's also worth noting President Ernie Grunfeld and head coach Randy Wittman are each entering the final year of their respective contracts.

The Wizards open training camp. Until then - and even after -, keep your eyes open for moving trucks.
