Your Thursday morning open thread:
The Redskins signed two wide receivers yesterday. One move, the signing of Donte Stallworth, had been anticipated for the last few days after it was announced that he was coming in for a tryout. The other, Devery Henderson, came out of the blue.
These are similar players. Both broke in with the Saints when Jim Haslett was the head coach, in the days before Drew Brees was the QB there. Both of them are on the wrong side of 30 but they still display some good speed. Henderson has a career average of 17.9 yards per catch, Stallworth 15.1.
Clearly, if both of them are on the field in September something has gone very wrong. But there is a chance that one of them makes the roster as the sixth wide receiver. Which one do you think has the best shot at sticking around this season? And will either or both of them have an impact?
