London Fletcher suffered a sprained left ankle late in Sunday night’s 24-17 loss to the Giants but the severity of the injury remains unclear.
“With London’s ankle, he had a sprain,” Coach Mike Shanahan said Monday afternoon. “I’ll let you know more on Wednesday exactly how serious it is.”
Fletcher was hurt in the fourth quarter while making a tackle on New York wide receiver Rueben Randle. While on the ground, rookie safety Bacarri Rambo landed on Fletcher’s left leg, twisting his ankle awkwardly.

Fletcher limped to the sideline but returned to the game a series later with his ankle heavily taped. The Giants, however, only ran one more play and it was a kneel-down.
Fletcher was not wearing a boot after the game.
The 38-year-old played in his 252nd consecutive game Sunday, extending his streak among active players.
