Robert Griffin III must have been feeling good on Saturday.
He appeared before an enthusiastic crowd at the Redskins’ draft day party at FedEx Field. His surgically repaired knee is holding up pretty well as he drew cheers by bouncing up and down and doing a few jumping jacks.
That entrance was shown live on ESPN and the video made the rounds of all of the highlights shows around the country.
Although he certainly has a long way to go before he is ready to play, he was feeling good enough to talk a little friendly trash about the Redskins’ biggest rival.
A fan was handed the microphone and asked him what his favorite moment was from the 2012 season.
"You've got to start with the last game against the Cowboys," Griffin said. "Alfred Morris runs for 200 yards, does a great job. Then we go back to the game on Thanksgiving and we spanked the Cowboys."
In that game, fans in Dallas were chanting, “RG3, RG3, RG3”. What about that?
"We made Cowboys Stadium our home. And that's what we want to continue to do," he said.
If the Redskins are going to continue to beat the Cowboys as they did twice last year, Griffin will need his knee to be in shape to do more than jumping jacks. But does look like he’s on the road to recovery.
