The era of the College Football Playoffs is officially open!
The first weekend of the season is in the books and oh what a weekend it was. Louisville and Miami still have a Monday night matchup, but that can wait, it's time for the updated Top 25!
Lot's of movement in the rankings this week. Before you can see the teams on the field, all you can do is guess as to where each team may stand. Now we've seen it and how each team has looked and boy did some teams make a statement this weekend.
Texas A&M entered the rankings this week as they went on the road and destroyed South Carolina in a game where nobody was really giving the Aggies a shot. Kenny Hill looked every bit the playmaker Johnny Manziel was. Can he keep that going through the season?
Nebraska also made its way on with a big win over Florida Atlantic and Oklahoma State squeaked in after they gave Florida State just about everything they could handle. Sure, the Cowboys lost, but they played like a top 25 team on Saturday.
Louisville dropped out of the rankings as word of some strife within the coaching staff begins to surface. Not a good way for Bobby Petrino to start his new tenure with his old school.
How about the FCS? They put up a fight against a lot of good teams this weekend. I wouldn't exactly label Liberty and South Dakota State as pushovers, but I definitely wanted to see North Carolina and Missouri play better against weaker competition and it cost them. How much?
Agree/disagree? Who did I leave out and who is overrated? It's a week for overreaction so tell me where I overreacted.
