Back in May, George Washington University unveiled the look for its new basketball court design, complete with images of the White House, the Capitol in 3-point range and a near sideline-to-sideline Washington Monument.
On Tuesday, the school released a time-lapsed video showing the court's installment inside the Charles E. Smith Center, complete with dramatic music and imaginary play-by-play emphasizing action across those iconic places.
"When people around the world are watching our games, we want them to immediately recognize and understand the university's unique setting in the middle of the action in this world-class city," Athletic Director Patrick Nero said in a statement released by the university.
As I said in May upon first glance, I cannot tell a lie, this is pretty cool. Upon seeing the actual court, that truth remains.
