Since General Manager Scot McCloughan was hired in early January, he’s been busy retooling the Redskins’ roster via free agency and preparing for the 2015 draft.


Although Jay Gruden was pleased with the progress made by the Redskins’ special teams units last season, the head coach wants more consistency in 2015.


After the 2013 season there was one thing that everybody who watched the Redskins could agree on—that the special teams were so awful they would have to improve just to be bad.


Adam Hayward is the captain of the Redskins’ special teams and earlier this year he was profoundly embarrassed with kicking game gaffes such as a blocked punt against the Texans and an Eagles kick


You had to look real hard to find it but there was some good news coming out of the Redskins’ 45-14 loss to the Giants.

There wasn’t a special teams disaster.
