NEW ORLEANS -- The focal point is, and always will be when it comes to the New Orleans Pelicans, Anthony Davis.

Randy Wittman can be coy about his lineups and doesn't like the idea of adjusting to other teams, but Paul Pierce at power forward may be the way to go against a team such as Monday's opponent.

BALTIMORE -- In losing consecutive preseason games for the first time, the Wizards were disjointed from the start vs. the New Orleans Pelicans but finished strong in a 88-84 defeat Monday.

Training camp is getting closer, but until the Wizards start lacing them up for practices, there isn't much news out there locally or across the NBA.
